How to eat healthy for less on a disability budget,

If the raising cost of food is taking a bit out of your disability check?   or making it difficult to survive the wait until you are approved disability.  Do you wonder if you could afford to improve your health by eating only the finest organic foods.

Then check out these penny pinching tips that will help you eat better feel better or even turn your food cost in to a thriving business to supplement your disability income

1. volunteer at a local organic food store of co operative garden in exchange for a discount..

2. buy in bulk but make sure you store it properly so it does not spoil, rice, beans, cereal

3. make your own bread, freeze food, can foods

4. grow your own, if you cant grow your own garden then swap barter with others that have a garden, grow
a smaller indoor crop .. expensive stuff like spices are the best bang for your buck.

5. Have your Dr prescribe an organic diet then Medicaid/Medicare may pay for your food,

6. Start a business that is organic food related here some idea’s
A. become an organic food advisor: what to buy, where to buy it, review organic restaurants in your area, share you write recipes… ,
B. can food for others
D. start a grocery shopping service,
E. cook organic foods for others
F. publish all that you do on a web site or blog about organic foods,

if you do any of the items in number 6 if is possible that you could then deduct all of your (food) samples as work related business expenses ….. and if you are working and an organic diet to helps you perform your job then you food is a cost of doing business and can be deducted as an expense…. please consult your accountant.
